I've discussed my lack of fashion sense on a few occasions.
I was serious.
I wasn't kidding.
But, I was being slightly dishonest.
You see, I used to be quite the stylish young lass (yes, I used lass in a sentence and the year is 2008). I was what many would term "fashion forward."
And.
I have evidence.
Exhibit A:
I rocked this outfit from head to toe, did I not? Even my red and rainbow striped bag is hip . . . and would be on the arm of celebrity divas of today, I have no doubt. Notice my over-sized buckle, the "fur" lined boots, the knitted cap. And of course, my model smirk. And my entire ensemble is set off nicely by the multi-colored carpeting adorning the stairs and the nicotine-stained walls.
Gorgeous.
Exhibit B:
First, I must make special note of Fluffy. He is so special he had a post all his own.
My hair has always been the bane of my existence. I have been lost in a sea of bad hair days with a few decent hair days thrown in to prevent me from taking a razor to my scalp. Ode to the hair gods . . .
This was clearly one of my shining moments. I mean, I'm a 10! There are some people who have no idea what I am talking about and rather than feel old and decrepit, I am just going to enlighten you . . .
The resemblance is simply uncanny, isn't it?

I used to want curly hair, so my mom would braid my hair like that while it was wet. When it would dry, it would be wavy!

OMG, we had the same couch growing up! It finally reached the end of it's life in my boyfriend's college apartment. Good times.
I beg to differ; I have four kids whose very existence attest to the fact that nakedness has a huge influence on some people. Just sayin'.

That's hawtness right there. You know - I usually try to look fairly decent. I mean - hawt but in a practical kind of way (like my clothes may be cute but they sure as hell aren't dry clean only or my shoes are always flats). Anyway, the other day I was totally slumming it and I looked homeless whereas Sumo? Looked amazing with totally cute clothes. I was totally traumatized. I MUST FIGHT THE FRUMP! Time to redo my underwear drawer again!

I am a fashion fan -- used to design and sew my own clothes based on what I liked in fashion mags but couldn't afford.
You couldn't tell that now. I spend most days in a single color shirt and jeans on khaki shorts.
