(Not so) Wordless Wednesday

It was a bittersweet moment, but I was excited nonetheless. J crawling. J standing. How amazing. How cool that he could explore the world . . . and change my life forever with such a seemingly simple knee/leg/arm movement. But it has . . .

I've been away from the computer (except for that late night Idol post) for the last few days. J is perfecting crawling and has decided to find anything and everything he can to climb. I can't look away for a moment. I've missed you . . . I'll be back when J goes off to college soon.

Until then . . . here's what has been going on (I have only the time it takes for J to devour a Mum Mum cracker to write this, so bear with me).

The rare moment he isn't moving. Oh, peaceful floor play. How I miss thee . . .

LOVES this toy. LOVES it. But, you can't turn away for even a second.

I couldn't resist. And, once I put him in (I know, bad idea), he didn't really want out.

Eeek. He's almost done with the cracker . . . must hurry.

This is from our adventure to the Columbus Zoo on Monday. The boy in the picture (his silhouette) is my friend's son. Both of her boys are so adorable and watching them was like watching J at two and four years old! WOW! Their momma amazes me . . .

See how this momma is RIGHT behind her baby? Well, that's like me and J. Constant attention. Oh, momma, I feel ya. Cracker is devoured. Must go . . .

Happy Wednesday!

Awesome photos!
I so feel for you, the climbing/crawling stage is so MUCH. It does settle a bit as they get used to the moving around and learn their boundaries. by like 2. ugh.

he is too cute! and yes it will get harder. personally I learned to only go on-line during nap time and after he goes to bed at night... now when I have 2... who knows!

One thing about my never-quit-moving boy was that he slept well--he exhausted not only me, but himself as well.

My favorite line......Cracker devoured, gotta run.

Yes, blogging is a nap and nite, nite thing in our house.

So cute he is walking, and I just love that picture of him sitting in the cart. Too cute!! :)

Have fun playing with J.

Now the fun starts! It might be a bit more difficult to reign him in, but he also gets to be loads more fun too. There is so much you can do with him at this age. I love this age. Enjoy it!!!

Pregnantly Plump said...

What fun pics! And as a bonus, you get lots of extra exercise in just chasing him around!

How fun! There's no going back now, and life will never be the same.

Ok, we have like all the same toys as you! My baby just got that play cube for his b-day! And the grocery cart, well that has been in EVERY room of my house and even my 4-year old likes to sit in it.

Good luck with that mover you got there!!

Marmarbug said...

Too answer your question about how people do it with more than one - when you find out let me know. I am terrified to have another knowing how much I run around all ready!!!!

Sue said...

Totally remember being able to put them in a spot and come back in 10 minutes and they would still be there. Wait till he starts running, I mean walking!

AWWW! So cute!

So, you have been busy? Enjoy your crawling, standing days with J.

I completely understand the bittersweet part.

As for how people manage with two, I'm already wondering how in the world I am going to chase Tulipbaby around while getting SB to finish his homework ... that should be fun next year!

J. looks so cute in the Little Tikes shopping cart. SB has this crazy idea that he's going to put Tulipbaby in the front part where kids sit .... you know, kids who CAN HOLD UP THEIR OWN HEADS!! Oy vey! Needless to say, we had a long talk about why that would be extremely unsafe.
