I'm going overboard with the alliteration, aren't I? Oh well . . .
About a week ago I posted about all the baby toys/activities I had going on in my living room--it was a Wonderful Wednesday! Well, today I thought it might be fun on this Terrific Tuesday to give you a tour of said room.
First, take note that I do not actually have "stations"--really, J just has so much stuff (stuff that I pledged not to go overboard and buy--but clearly that pledge FAILED) that I make an effort to have him play with all of it. He usually ends up on on the floor getting tons of kisses or tickles or on mommy's knees and eventually lifted into the air as Super Baby. I'd like to think I am his favorite toy at the moment. Let me tell you, he is NOT the one all tuckered out at the end. I am the one reaching for a heating pad and a shot . . . of . . . hot chocolate. Yeah, hot chocolate :)
Anyway, forgive the video quality and the super speed in which I am talking (I was trying to keep the video as close to two minutes as possible). For many of you this will be one of those, "Oh boy do I remember those days." For others, "Hey, that looks like my living room." And then for others, "Dear Lord . . . is that what it is really like?"
Thanks for visiting! Oh, and take note of the stream of drool at the end of the video.
Have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!

Hey, I sent you an email. Did you get it, or did I end up in Spam as usual? Your header turned out really cool, and I did a little pimpin' to! Let me know if you got it...
Just wait, there will be plenty more in the years to come!!! I have toys for every age here- 6 year old and down to baby toys. I have to separate them so the little teeny tiny polly pockets don't mix with the rattles. Come up with some clever storage and you can "hide" some of it away. We have an entertainment center with doors, the tv is on the top, a bin of toys on the bottom. I should post on this sometime, it would be kinda fun. It looks like you have lots of fun playing too. Oh and we have that exersaucer (I think you commented on it when my daughter fell asleep in it) Anyways, yeah those tall toys- my older kids grab them and let go, they come very very close to wacking the baby in the face. This concerns me and I am actually looking into switching them out with other toys. Or just put a helmet on the baby... or maybe just keep the other kids away. If she keeps falling asleep in it- a helmet might be a good idea! Have a good one!
Hi there,
That was a cute video... thank you for the tour! I had all those things for my son & my daughters too!! Isn't it great to see their reaction to all the diff toys! My son and my girls LOVED the excersaucer!! That was a HUGE hit in my house... and the jumper too!!
J is sooo CUTE!!!! I love those cheeks!! :)
Have a great play day!!
Jenn
Ahhhh... the baby stuff. Sometimes I kind of miss it!
By the way, I am majoring in Psychology... eventually I want to be a Clinical Psychologist so I can continue to study all things Autism--and get paid for it! LOL
I am loving the alliteration. What's next? Maybe onomatopoeia
(did I spell that correctly?)
I am most impressed with your technological skillz (Yes, I used a z). You must teach me how to add a video.
J is adsolutely adorable and he is so lucky to have such a wonderful mommy!
Forget about "limiting" the toys. I tried and "got nowhere fast"!!! Just enjoy every minute!
Okay, you're really making me miss those days. Show me some screaming and sleepless nights so the baby hunger will go away. :) He's darling.
(And yes, feel free to add me if you'd like. I'd be honored.)
Fun video! Thanks for the tour. And we have those same tv trays. hehe
You have got to have the most well entertained baby I have ever seen. Woot!
Now that's a playroom! Enjoy it while you can...sooner or later all the toys get so small you don't WANT them scattered all over the floor....they hurt when you step on 'em!
Your little one is simply precious. Man...baby fever. I'm not allowed to get that.
But what I really loved was your vocabulary...because you spoke so much like I do! "But I digress!" heehee
awesome drool! and we have some form or another of ALL those toys, too! Best thing is that with the exception of our little playmat/activity gym, I got them all with the first baby, so I spent only $25 so far. well, on the big baby gear. don't ask me about books or little toys... ;)
and thanks for stopping by the other day...I am so lame that I just now got a chance to peek over here...looks fun! :) can't wait until I find more J pics...he's a cutie!
WOW - he is set!!! What a lot of great toys and jumpers and such!! I couldn't live without the swing with my kids or the saucer toys for them to sit in - all great toys. Great tour and baby doll baby! Take care. Kellan
For a moment, I forgot where I was and I thought this was a video of my living room...;) thanks for the fun!
Ahh, that was a fun flashback to a year ago. Beware, the toys get bigger and more plasticy as the kid gets bigger. (I don't care if plasticy isn't a word, it is now.) The pieces and parts will kill you.
Thanks for the comments. I was so excited to do this just because for once, I had "company" and didn't have to get all dressed up, clean my house, or make snacks.
The status of our "living room" has prompted my husband to reconsider finishing the basement and/or revamping the bonus room. Hee hee . . .
I love the word plasticy, Burgh! I'm so using it . . .
I love the alliteration. And girlymom is right, there is TONS more to come. And they only get BIGGER. Love the video.
Soooo glad you found my blog in cyberspace (as you say...). I love to get comments. It is like getting money from home without writing for it...well almost.
I like your blog too. I will be stopping by!
Thanks!
I remember all that stuff so well...Now at 3 and 4 we have moved on just a bit. I have reclaimed my living room!
It's amazing how a little person can overtake a house, isn't it? Loved your little asides.... :)
My favorite item as they got older actually was the exersaucer (until they can get out of it). I called it "baby-jail" so that I could pee in peace....
