. . . and loving every minute of it.
After yesterday's pool adventure where we were the only students in infant swim class . . . we decided to venture out again. An indoor play center! I had no idea this existed until last week. We don't have very much out here for young children to do so finding this was like finding a gold mine with actual gold.
I was so excited.
When we arrived, we found . . . no babies. No children. No adults (save the woman who worked the counter). Part of me was bummed since I am eager for J to get to know other kids his age. But, the other part of me was thrilled. We had the entire place to ourselves.
And J went crazy! What an awesome day . . .

Come see my news, Dammit.
Wow. First the pool and now the play area? What's your secret? ;)
Ok, I think it's time you took a shower. Really now. ; )
How fun - I would LOVE to find one of those places "empty" around here!
I love that photo montage! Way cool
those pics are cool.
I think having the play space to himself the first time is great he could explore everything at his pace. Hopefully next time there will be a few playmates
Awwwwwwwwwww.. Too. Cute.
I don't think he even noticed he was the only one! Look how happy he is! :)
Looks like he is having a GREAT time!
It's all in the timing with places like that - 10 or 1 are your hot times depending- ones with older siblings make it out by 10-others wait til after nap and lunch...that's what I've found in my experience anyways. When I hit the park at 8:30 with Mack (after dropping her siter's off at school) it's a ghost town . :)
Sorry I've been AWOL for awhile...I have so many blogs to catch up on it is not even funny. I read them at night usually and sometimes during the day and both nights and days have been crazy, leaving me time for one here or there...
Anyhow, I wish we had a place like this near us! That is awesome! And as for the pool story..that was great and hilarious! Isn't that how it always seems to work out. But it sounds like you had a blast anyhow! Yeah! Next time take your bloody camera!
Oh that is fabulous, I love it when we have a place to ourselves too!
J looks like he had a hoot :)
woohoo, what fun!!!
Holy cow!! You've hit gold two days in a row!!! That's awesome!
That place looks so cool! I completely understand about wanting to get J around other kids. I've been exploring other options outside of the local playground for Little Elvis, and having a little more success. Good luck on finding other kiddoes!
Sounds actually quite relaxing! Sometimes you go to these places and it's OVERWHELMING! Looks like a real gem of a place!! How fun!
I think that is one of the things I miss most about my kids not being little any longer... all those surprise adventures. We still do fun things together, but it just isn't the same as when they were experiencing things for the first time. Enjoy and make this time last as long as you can.
Oh, wow, where are all the other parents? Home on their butts complaining that there just simply isn't anything out there for their kids? That looks liek a great place to play.
He's soo cute. And yes, tell me your secret!
Really no one??
I am slightly jealous! Glad to hear that you had a great time, and before you know it, you will be back wishing it was just the two of you there. :)
Aww..how cute. I bet he loved that he had the place to himself.
I liked reading your swimming day post. What a day! Glad it turned out well.
Oh, but, what is up with "infant" swim class with older ladies in it? Maybe the combined classes due to class size. ;)
Holy cow! That is totally empty and looks really cool! I'd ask when the kids are regularly there, though. Maybe J has a different napping schedule?
Wow, that is awesome. My kinda of place!
BTW, got a little something for ya over at my blog.
Awwww....just adorable.
You are a busy momma.
That looks like a fun place!
Do you have a MOPS group or a Mothers and More in your area? I have used both to meet new moms.
He looks so happy playing solo. And, like I said - less kids = less germs.
It is great when you get to have the place all to yourself!
It's so much nicer to be the only ones there to play. Then you're not fighting off the older kids who knock the babies over while their parents sit by and ignore them.
Glad you had a fun day and found a nice place to play!
He looks like he had so much fun!
looks like he had a REALLY good time!
BTW your package is finally in the mail...hope you get it by Sat or Mon.
Wow. Is he getting hair or what?
He's a doll!
I'll bet you loved rolling around on the floor with him.
These are cute pics! Glad you had fun, with or without other kids!
So cool!!!!!! My kids love "indoor park". But it's never empty!
Looks like a good time!
Definitely better to have the place to yourself.
Looks like fun. So there are advantages to living in the boonies other than the beautiful nature - which is a HUGE advantage in my book.
